We had planned a 2 week vacation last summer in July.  In our planning I suggested half kiddingly that we should get a puppy.  We'd have two whole weeks to get him adjusted.  Well, DH actually agreed.  So I had to convince him to get a weimaraner.  He wasn't sure he wanted that breed.  He had always had labs and had always wanted  a german shepard or a husky.  Well, once I started showing puppy pictures he fell in love.  I started looking for weimaraner puppies in the paper or pet stores and luckily wasn't finding any.  So I started searching online and found a weimaraner club.  They gave me a list of breeders. Well I started talking with these breeders and ended up finding one with a litter way out in syracuse.  We went for a visit when they were 5 weeks old.  We got to know that breeder and we decided on orange boy, soon to be know Scout.  So we started making arrangement and 4 weeks later went out to pick up our new puppy.  He slept the entire 5 hour ride home in my lap. Once home he met the kitties.  Neither of them knew what to think of the other!  The first week we spent down at the family hosue at the cape. He got to play with all my neices and nephews and swim in the ocean.  I think this week was a great experience for him and is why he just loves people so much.
1. Scout on the beach(9.5 weeks)
2. Scout after his first bath(9.5 weeks)
3. Scout contemplating the kitty( about 11 weeks)
4. Scout showing his love with kisses (labor day 2.5 months)

Thanks everyone!  His eyes are mesmerizing! I swear the breeder taught him how to hypnotize me into giving him cookies with those eyes!!!!!

And yep, those are my drawings.  It's kind of an obsession, the pictures I take and the drawings/paintings I do go hand in hand. One inspires the other.  He just makes so many cute faces I can't help but recreate them!
