I'm New!

Hi! My name is Emily and I am new to the forum. I have a cavalier king Charles spaniel named Barkley. My family adopted him from a shelter last year and he just turned one in February. Before Barkley, we had another dog but she sadly passed away a year ago at the age of 14. She was given to us by someone when the dog was seven years old so Barkley is our first puppy.  I also have two guinea pigs that are both a year old.  I am attaching a few pictures of Barkley.

I'm Jan.  Molly is my pup.  She's part doberman, part German Shephard and 100% love.  I adopted her almost 7 yrs ago now.

Welcome to Dog Addicts!  I have an Australian cattle dog that we adopted from the shelter April of 2004, so we've had her nearly 6 years now!  I'm married with 2 daughters who are 20 and 18 next week.

Hi Emily and  .  Your puppy Barkley is way too cute.
I live in my humble home with 6 dogs, 5 of them are rescues.  And if I go on... I have all rescued except for the two geckos...here we go... 2 cats, 2 rats, 1 guinea pig left, use to have more, but after this one will take a break.  3 parakeets, a rabbit, 2 sons and one hubby.  At the stables I have 2 horses, 1 qtr horse and one TB. 
I would love to hear more stories about your animals and more pics.  Keep on posting, this is a great bunch of peeps and we love when more come a long.

  to Emily and Barkley!  What a wonderful breed of dog!  And Barkley looks like a perfect example of the breed!!  SO cute!  My Mom and one of my sisters just bought a house and my Mom has finally decided she wants a Cavalier!  I am on quite a few rescue lists, so I have started to look. 

I am owned by a chesapeake bay retriever/brittany mix.  Phoebe will be 10 this coming August!  I have also been adopted by a 14 yr old cat, Tigger.  Pam's daughter, (Pam is a member of this group, too, she has 4 giant breed dogs!!) needed a home for the cat so I was thrilled to take her in!  She is such a love!  I have 2 thoroughbred horses, too!

I can't wait to hear more about both of you!
