I found those 3 lab sibling Lab pups on Dogs in Danger. They are located in Kaplan, Louisiana (middle of nowhere way down in the southern part of the state). Their euthanasia date is February 17. From what I know, Kaplan is still a gassing facility. They do not adopt out to the public directly but work thru Animal Aid of Vermilion. I have been emailing Lab rescues in Texas and Alabama and all breed rescues in the Southern part of Louisiana about them and am running out of ideas. I contacted Animal Aid and they are still in the shelter as of this morning. I can sponsor them a bit if somebody agrees to take them but am too far to do anything else directly.

Those pups need out and they need out fast. The two black ones are so thin and I know there has been at least one parvo case (adult, being treated) at the shelter in the recent past days.

Any ideas ? Any contacts you have that you could pass on ?

Please, please do. I'll keep in touch with Animal Aid and plead for them to have a little bit more time.

I wrote to E's sister.  She forwarded my e mail to people she knows in rescue down there.

She asked if anyone might have gotten in touch with a lab rescue.

No word. They are on the "In memoriam" page of Dogs in Danger but still listed on Animal Aid Petfinder page. Dogs in Danger moves the dogs there on their PTS date if they have had no update telling them otherwise. I e-mailed Animal Aid again yesterday for update, no answer.

Lab rescues in Texas and Alabama were contacted; two answered that they could not take them, the others did not answer. No-kill shelters in that part of the state were contacted; none answered. I contacted no-kill shelters in my area to know if they kew people in that area, no answer. They were also posted on three different forums.

They might or might not be dead. If they are still alive, I will go on trying to find somebody but as long as Animal Aid does not answer, I will not know.

Thanks, Missy and AJ for forwarding their info to others.

They are still alive -at least Bobby and Sue Ellen.  I must have the cooties because Animal Aid has still not answered me but I found them back on Dogs in Danger this morning and their date has been pushed back to 02/22.

It is good but they still need out major big time and I have no news about any rescue taking them. I am going to extend my rescue mails to farther away states and to get them to some yahoo lists (if I can figure those out).

Anybody who knows anybody, now is the time ! I will sponsor them with whoever commits to them.

Just so you know, this is the one board I posted it on.  It is a horse board, but has a cat/dog section.  This will take you to the thread:

http://forums.delphiforums.com/alexbrown/messages/?start=Start+Reading+%3E%3E

Keep me informed if you get any response from the folks that listed them.

Thanks, Missy. The more they are out there, the better chance they have.

Got some news in an e-mail. Sad part : Bobby died (don't know from what). Good news : Sue Ellen has an adoption pending. Jr is still urgent and on the PTS list.

Goood news as of 5:30 today by somebody who talked directly to the person in charge of Animal Aid.

JR went to a Golden Rescue yesterday (don't know which one). Sue Ellen is out of the shelter and at the home of the Animal Aid person. She is completely vetted and has an application but house check and vet check are being done so there is no certainty yet. The person from Animal Aid who has her welcomes contact with any potential rescues/adopters and will take phone calls.

I have her cell number available now. Even if Sue Ellen does not have a sure home yet, she is safe. I am sending a donation for her to help them. For some reason, the pups' listings on PetFinder as of right now show something else but since I have it from somebody who talked to AA, we can breathe again;  they are both safe.  Happy Yell

I am so sorry Bobby's fate was not the same. RIP, little one.  angel

Missy, you can let your people know. Thanks a zillion times for your help.

OH THANK doG JR was pulled!!  Thank you so much for working so hard for these babies.  I know we can't save them all, but for these pups, it was the WORLD to them, not to mention their lives!

I will pass on the information to my lists.  There were alot of folks sending the info to rescue groups across the country, it warmed my heart to see so many step up for these babies!
 luvsmile
Again, thank you for fighting for their lives.  You are an  angel !!

phew and  Happy Yell so glad so many people were able to pull together and save the dogs there were able to be saved.
RIP Bobby run free at the bridge.

Oh!  On a good note here in town... there was some horse property near the barn for rent, I saw that someone took over the property and fixed it up really nice.  I recently saw a bunch of golden retrievers there.  Then I saw dog training classes for all breeds.  I finally saw their little sign, they are a goldne retriever rescue.   They may be able to help a dog we come by some time.

That is a good idea.  I may ride up to the house sometime on horse back and tell them about Dogaddicts.  That would be pretty cool.
