What a cutie patootie ! I think he must be less than 14 days old, right Hill ? Do you know where he was found ? There could be siblings around.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry. How and where does one find a new born pup? It's sad he was found but I'm happy he is getting a chance at life.

Being fed half and half he's lucky he didn't have the screaming craps.  eeek

Well the half and half did give him the screaming craps!   thud Apparently his mom was picked up by animal control yesterday sometime and his siblings perished. They were at a school... I called animal control with the confirmation number given to me by the school and they told me she had been put to sleep because she was severely injured... So I've got a puppy with no eyes opened and an angry umbilical port so I'm thinking he's about 7 days old...  thud

10pm feeding didn't go so well...  rotfl He's a fiesty little brat!

Not a clue what he is... Mom was HUGE though... He's kinda got a mastiffish face... And his weight is on track for a HUGE dog...  Roll Eyes He's eating 3 oz at a feeding... close to the same as a typical newborn child I'm told...  rotfl

What a tragic story.  crying He's the lucky one out of the bunch that's for sure. If he is part Mastiff, it's good  you call him Moose. I hope those puppies or the dam were hurt by kids at the school.

Eat up your formula, little Moose so you grow big and strong. You could not have landed in a better place.

So what does one feed a newborn pup?  Don't they sell milk replacer at the pet stores?  Was half-and-half too rich for his little tummy?  He is cute and way too young.  I'm sure he will thrive under your care.  It's a good thing the client brought him in. How often does he need to eat?  Do you need to get up in the middle of the night to feed him?  He sure is cute!  3oz sounds like a lot of formula and that is about on track for a newborn human.

Poor little thing is so young his eyes aren't even open yet.

That's too bad for the little one. I hope someone will adopt Moose. Is Moose a boy or gir? You refer to Moose as both in your update post.

Dang, poor Moose.  Any inkling what the reason is ?

He will have had a great start living with your pack and learning the ropes under your tutelage.  Fingers crossed for him to get a furever home despite his handicap. If anybody can help find him one, it's you.

He is so adorably cute. luvsmile  Sure wish I could adopt him.  He reminds me of my childhood dog with his coloring and body.  luvsmile
Sure hope everything goes well with him finding a new home.  For me having a blind dog would be no biggy, just do not move the furniture around too much which I do not tend to do.  When the dog does not know any different than they do not see it as a handicap.

Just read this for the first time....how sad about his family. Mom must have been hit by a car or something......

There's a blind dog rescue someone keeps forwarding me facebook stuff from. Are you familiar with them? I'd go ahead and make them aware of him.

I love his sweet fluffy shepherdy look!

I get to see him on the 13th because he is getting neutered. And Jo will get to see him from time to time because her office is across the street from his office!
