Wag More, Bark Less.

Do any of you know of a website that would address how training can teach a dog its place in the pack?

Sailor-now-Taylor, the black lab pup I placed with my neighbor this summer, has challenged the older dog in the home twice, and left her yelping, but uninjured. My neighbor has essentially refused to participate in any formal training, and doesn't believe me when I say the pup needs a job, and to understand that the owner is head dog, and that this could help the old dog too.

Send the neighbor to Ceasar Milan.  He explains pack behavior very well and makes it clear the owner must be the leader of the pack.

 bang your head
I looked through a lot of the paperwork the humane society gives out to help new owners, but didn't see anything great to help you, but I'll let you know if I find something good.
