Chihuahuas /small dogs can do agility courses? I think Belle might be kind of good at it.. I've seen it with mostly Border Collies and other bigger breeds..not very many small dogs..

What do you think?

Belle is a little firecracker..she needs something to get her energy out..

Maybe?

Most of the people I have met involved in agility are in it because their dogs enjoy doing it not because they want a title. I've watched dogs from Collies to Dachshunds having a good time at the agility course down the street. I say go for it. Find a group that meets in your area and talk to them.

And of course..........pics are always nice. wink2

I have seen chi and papillons doing agility on TV & at trials in West Los Angeles.  They look absolutely adorable trying to get the teether down.  luvsmile  dont let the small size fool you, that chi I saw kicked butt!

I agree w/ Layne.

I've see a ton of chi's do it. They have a special height category that typically only chihuaha's, yorkies and sometimes smaller poms compete in at the agility trials I've been to.

Definitely go for it!   My 15 lb cockapoo puppy is a great agility dog.   I don't take him to trials or anything, but I purchased an agitlity kit for $35 and we practice all the time in the backyard.    It helps to release some of his energy, plus its a great obedience tool.

Have fun!

Randi

P.S.  I purchases the agility kit at www.jbpet.com

ANY dog, if willing can do agilty. You might not be able to compete in competitions etc...but for the fun of it, of course you can! Go for it!  I want to eventually build one for Princess in the backyard...a few jumps and tunnels etc...she would love it!

I have seen all kinds of breeds do agility, flyball etc....your only limit if whether you do it with them or not! Grin
