Since I don't shop at Petsmart, I don't run into food reps. It's a good thing.......
BUT, at shows I hear this ad nauseum......."I've used @!#$%^*&($)@ for years, and it works just fine!
To which I say---I believe that dogs, who are carnivorous animals, require a meat-based diet, that is, that all protein should come from meat sources. A dog performs his best and is healthiest on a species-appropriate diet.
Or something else short like that. It covers all types of diets, and doesn't point a specific finger. You either hook 'em, or you don't.
I've hooked a few.

That's a great approach MM. I will have to add that to my arsenal.
I don't shop at petsmart either, but I do go in to do weight checks on my dogs every few weeks and to socialize new dogs. It always seems that when I am there I have some sort of experience that really turns me off. I wish my vet were closer so that I could just go and do weight checks there. And yes, I am OCD ONMP and few other things about their weight. If Mark wants to get under my skin he will comment that one of the dogs is looking fat or skinny. He knows just how to send me over the edge!
