Jillian's X-Rays
«

Here's Jillian's x-rays from when I took her to Tufts in June. Everything looks fairly good - slight tilt in her pelvis and some arthritis in one hip. Not bad for a dog that has bouts where she can't walk. Fortunately she's been doing very well - I just wish we knew what was going on.

Wow.. you can definitely see the difference in her hips..
reminds me of when we had Kyra's hips x-rayed... you could see a bottle cap in her stomach! Vet said that was the only problem to watch for.

It's weird, though, that even with her hips as good as they are, she can't extend them all the way behind her. No frog doggin for her. A bit of arthritis shouldn't stop her from doing that, maybe the tilted pelvis?
I just don't know.

Not all dogs do frog legs.. I've never seen Minnie do it in the 5 years we've had her.

No, but Jillian can't. I shouldn't say can't - when her legs are extended all the way back, as they did with her exam, she resists it tremendously, gets jumpy and nobody knows why

I wish you could figure it out too, but her xray's do look good considering that she has such problems.

That's why everyone is
Kim. And also why I've been considering that the problem may lie either in the upper thoracic or C-spine.

I'm no good reading x-rays but everything looks normal there to me.
I just wish you could get an answer as to why that happens to her.
