The settings were reset a couple of weeks ago .. you no longer can edit your posts after a certain amount of time has passed.
Due to recent situations on the forum we thought this was was the best way to control these.
We apologize for any inconvenience to any of our members.

It's a security issue. We had a rash of spammers signing up and trying to some things. We changed several settings to help prevent any problems.
If there is something in particular that you need changed, pm me, Terri or one of the mods.
Thanks.

Okay makes sense now why I wasn't able to edit.
I guess my next question would be just how much time do we have to edit after we post?
this will take getting use to because I am a dummy at spelling errors and for not using spellcheck and edit my posts all the time or add things to my posts constantly when I remember I forgot to add something to it.

Up to how long can you modify a post? I don't have one I want to modify, but noticed that the modify and delete buttons were gone off all but my most recent posts. Has it always been like this?

Emily I merged this with a thread very similar where Sally asked about the edit button. You can see above the settings were changed because of the spamming problems. I believe you can edit up to a half hour after you post. If you do need something edited after the fact feel free to ask a mod to do it in the thread or you can PM one of us as well.

You can never replace the dog that you lost in your heart~ you can only make your heart a little bit bigger to include a new one.
