How to make an Avatar:

Using any graphics program, load up your favorite picture.  The max size for avatars on the site is 100 x 100 pixels.

Just resize the picture to a max of 100 x 100.

I highly recommend the free, easy to use irfanview program.  The link is available on the home page

http://dogaddicts.com    on the right side of the page.

download and install irfanview.  Select file...then open.  once the picture is there, select image...then selct resize/resample.  Play around with the settings that it allows you.

When it looks good, select file...save as...then save it as a jpg or gif.  Use a new name so you can keep the orginal.

Once you use the program for a while, you'll find it pretty easy.  And there is a ton of other stuff you can do with that program, so just play around.

One of the other mod's can add more information here if I have not made any of this clear...
