It is amazing. We've sent some of the money directly to Anna already to help with the vet bills and such. ( Those golden arch treats do cost money you know..  ) People who do this kind of work deserve the biggest accolades. It's not easy work, and it certainly is heart-wrenching. I'd like to share a little bit of a PM I got from Anna when we started this. Just so you all know how much you are appreciated and thanked for your outpouring of love. I cannot begin to thank you and this incredible group of lovely caring people for the help, support and prayers. I've been rescuing dogs for years and have never expected or wanted any recognition for what I do. I still am a bit uncomfortable with all the attention, to be honest. It is not the norm for me. I am terribly flattered and grateful though.
Maybe the thing is that I am only doing what I imagine anyone else would have done for Mabel. Although I have been told by many that they would not have taken her on. In my mind, I'm not really doing anything extra ordinary, just taking care of a sweet innocent creature in need. She's a special girl and deserved a chance to be healthy and loved. I've hospiced many dogs with terminal illnesses, even if this had turned out to be the case with Miss Mable, she would have left this world knowing what it is to be truly loved and valued. They all deserve that much if not more.
Please relay my deepest gratitude to everyone for everything, and thanks to you especially for making Mabel's story so public.

Dave......ok, so now I have a money order and I am not sure now whether I should send it straight to Anna as I planned, or should I now send it to you guys for the "Mabel Project"? I have been away all week, but I got the money order before I left, just have not mailed it yet, and I noticed when I was catching up on the posts that we are going to start a fund for other abused or neglected animals ( an idea I love btw ).....just need to know where to send this......thanks.......Susie (Jazzmyn)
